How we work
What each
service includes.
No shortcuts and no mystery. Here is the exact, step-by-step process we follow on every job.
A sealed moisture barrier across the floor and walls of your crawl space.
- 01Inspect the crawl space and clear out debris, standing water, and obstructions.
- 02Clean and dry the foundation walls and support pillars where the tape will bond (butyl needs a clean, dry surface to hold).
- 03Apply concrete/construction adhesive and firmly press butyl tape 2–4 ft up the foundation walls and support pillars.
- 04Roll out 4–10 mil reinforced vapor barrier across the crawl space floor and up the walls, fully enclosing the floor and walls.
- 05Overlap all barrier seams (roughly 12 in) and seal them with seam tape.
- 06Bond and seal the top edge of the barrier to the butyl tape on the walls and pillars for one continuous, airtight envelope.
- 07Cut in and hand-seal the barrier neatly around pillars, plumbing, and any penetrations.
- 08Final walk-through to confirm a fully enclosed, continuous barrier with no gaps.
